What happens to our body during adrenaline sports? Adrenaline sports differ from those that are focused on performance.

In adrenaline sports a person overcomes fear for their health and even fear for their own life. That does not happen while running or playing ball games, for example. The effects of adrenaline on the mind are completely different. Our whole body shakes, our heart pounds as if racing, we are under stress and we are afraid. Adrenaline and the tandem skydive Jumping out of an aeroplane is not an everyday matter. For many people even a flight in a sports aircraft is something unusual and out of the ordinary.

Sitting in the open door of a flying aircraft at an altitude of 4 km with the feeling that in a moment you are going to jump is an extreme situation, even in the knowledge that there is someone behind us to whom we are firmly attached. Adrenaline phase 1 In this phase adrenaline is released into the body. Thanks to adrenaline the metabolic reactions in the body speed up and the blood is better oxygenated as a result. Adrenaline ,,revs" the body up to higher revolutions and prepares it to cope with stress.

Adrenaline phase 2 In the moment before the performance itself (before the jump) we feel enormous excitement. We do not know what is going to happen. We will jump, we will land, we will survive… Because we have overcome ourselves, release comes, followed by enormous euphoria, in other words feelings of happiness. Adrenaline phase 3 Adrenaline helped us to cross our own limits, our own possibilities, and that fills our personality with enormous self-confidence for the rest of our life.

Adrenaline according to Jindřich Kantor Jindřich Kantor (tandem pilot, has been skydiving since 1983 and has more than 7,000 jumps behind him): „For me the biggest "adrenaline“ is getting to the airfield by car on the motorway on a Friday. " Adrenaline and the encyclopaedia Adrenaline, o-dioxyphenylethanolmethylamine, a secretion (hormone) of the adrenal glands. Adrenaline prepares the body for performance. Adrenaline is the basic hormone of the ,,fight or flight" stress response.

Adrenaline causes the blood vessels in the muscles to widen. Adrenaline speeds up the action of the heart and increases the force of the contraction of the heart muscle. Adrenaline also acts on the smooth muscle of the bronchi. Because of its powerful effects on the heart, adrenaline is used in resuscitation.
